VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE: Associate Professor of Math
Department: Academic Affairs
Opening Date: JUNE 1, 2006
Closing Date: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

This 10-Month tenure appointment begins in August 2006

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Each Full-Time Faculty member is responsible for teaching 12 semester credit hours per semester as their regular teaching load. Faculty members are also expected to serve on departmental and college committees. The amount of committee work should be kept to a reasonable amount. Generally no more than three committee assignments should be given to any faculty member except under special circumstances. Classroom size will equal no more than 20 students. Faculty members will be assigned less than twenty students to be advised through the Mentor/Advisor Program.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Master's Degree or above with a major in the teaching discipline or a Master's Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline. In addition, the candidate must also have a minimum of three years of teaching experience on the college level. Exception based on exceptional professional contributions and/or demonstrated contributions to the teaching discipline must be explicitly recommended in writing by the Academic Dean and approved by the President.
