The goal of the Division of Student Affairs is to meet the needs of Clinton Junior College students.  Taking into consideration the college’s mission and history, this division will work to bring cohesiveness between the college and the student body to establish a positive working relationship.

Mission Statement:
The Student Support Services program at Clinton Junior College is committed to contributing to the institutions mission as well as its commitment to our participants in increasing college retention and graduation rates for eligible students, increasing the transfer rates of eligible students from our two year institute to a four year institute, and to fostering an institutional climate that is supportive of the success of low-income and first generation college students and individuals with certified disabilities.
 
 
Our Vision:
The Student Support Services program will empower our participants academically, socially and culturally by providing a positive atmosphere for learning through tutoring and mentoring, through the provision of workshops, through providing assistance in transitioning from a two-year to a four-year institution, through counseling in all areas of student life and through the provision of services for students with disabilities.

Student Life
 

One of the objectives of Clinton Junior College is to instill in the students a sense of moral and ethical responsibility. Collegiate Athletics provide students an opportunity to master these qualities.

Clinton Junior College has numerous activities that aid students in their moral and spiritual development.

 
Student Goverment

Purpose
The purpose of the Student Government Association at Clinton Junior College is to express student concerns and safeguard student interests, facilitate effective communication between administration, faculty, staff and students, sponsor events for the general student population and to enhance student life on campus, acknowledge and support student clubs and organizations by sponsoring events for the enrichment and enhancement of the student body and to encourage participation in all aspects of student life.

Members
Membership in the Student Government Association consists of all students enrolled full time at Clinton Junior College and all elected officers and representatives of the Student Government Association.

Elections
The officers of the Executive Board of the Student Government Association are elected by majority vote of the student body.

The Student Senate consists of full time students that are non voting members which

Lyceum

The mission of the Lyceum Service is to provide stimulating programming in the hopes assisting students to:

 

• explore, discover, and deepen their spirituality

• develop an appreciation of spiritual diversity with a view to mutual enrichment

• integrate the spiritual and intellectual dimensions of life

• engage in ethical reflection and the discussion and development of values, and construct a vision of what they can contribute to the common good
